Role Overview
We are seeking an Associate to join our Investment Banking team based in Singapore. This role is a pivotal part of our business origination and execution efforts across Southeast Asia and various investment banking products. The Associate will handle end-to-end transaction execution, including preparing marketing materials, conducting financial analysis, and compiling detailed presentations for both internal committees and clients. Leadership in managing execution workflows and collaborating with analysts and senior bankers is key. The role offers the chance to progress toward senior positions capable of driving and closing deals independently. Enthusiasm for our mission and dedication to success are essential. Associates will integrate into a dynamic regional team exceeding 100 Analysts and Associates, engaging in live transaction activities that may require regular travel within the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with senior bankers to originate, structure, and execute financing and advisory deals spanning mergers and acquisitions, initial public offerings, bonds, loans, and structured products.
- Develop impactful marketing and execution materials to effectively engage clients.
- Construct comprehensive financial models and conduct valuation assessments to support pitches and project analysis.
- Communicate with senior team members and client executives to facilitate transaction execution and manage associated risks.
- Oversee, review, and coordinate analytical tasks carried out by junior bankers to ensure smooth marketing and execution processes.
- Liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders such as legal, accounting, and counterparties concerning transactions.
- Provide leadership by mentoring junior bankers and analysts, fostering their professional growth.
- Lead client negotiations, conduct question and answer sessions, and participate in management interviews.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent, preferably in Finance, Economics, or a related discipline, from a top-tier university.
- At least three years of experience in a front office investment banking role.
- Proficiency in financial modelling techniques.
- Comprehensive understanding of the transaction lifecycle and a strong execution focus.
- Excellent attention to detail and communication ability to engage senior professionals, clients, and cross-functional teams effectively.
- Self-motivated, capable of working autonomously, with a strong drive for results.
