Role Overview

We seek an Assistant Store Manager passionate about creating an inclusive workplace and inspiring a team to deliver unforgettable customer experiences. This role offers a stimulating, fast-paced environment with continuous challenges and opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

• Boost store performance by supporting sales targets, managing expenses, and overseeing essential operations such as merchandising, backroom, frontline services, cash handling, customer service, markdowns, scheduling, shipping, and receiving, with strong emphasis on minimizing shrinkage and damages.
• Identify, attract, and nurture talent by offering thorough training and ongoing development, serving as a mentor and positive role model to foster an engaging experience for employees and customers alike.
• Communicate and execute action plans for projects, company initiatives, and operational changes while contributing to succession planning efforts to secure future store leadership.
• Establish and implement strategies to achieve sales, expense, and customer service objectives, coordinate loss prevention and operational programs, and enhance store layout and efficiency.

Candidate Profile

• At least two years of leadership experience in retail, preferably as an Assistant or Store Manager.
• Proven ability to lead, develop, and motivate large teams effectively.
• Strong organizational and communication capabilities, skilled in influencing and providing constructive feedback and mentorship.
• Comprehensive knowledge of store operations, merchandising, people management, health and safety standards, loss prevention, and customer service, with a knack for thorough task execution.

Location & Salary

The role is based at 48 Danny Drive Unit B1.6, Marshalls Store 0785, St. John's, NL. The annual salary range is from $48,592.50 to $68,029.50, with compensation depending on experience, qualifications, and skills.
