Role Purpose
The Assistant Manager - HR IT will be part of the Unilever HRIT team responsible for maintaining and enhancing the Workday Core HCM system and core compensation functionalities. The role will optimize HR data integrity, processes, and system integration to facilitate efficient and compliant global HR operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and improve Workday Core HCM modules including employee data, job and position management, and organizational structures.
- Collaborate closely with HR, HR Operations, and business teams to translate requirements into scalable system solutions.
- Maintain and streamline core HR procedures such as hiring, job changes, terminations, and transfers.
- Ensure accuracy, governance, and compliance of data within Workday.
- Manage Workday security setups, including roles and access permissions.
- Coordinate with integration teams for HR system interfaces like payroll, benefits, and third-party vendors.
- Support release management activities including system integration testing (SIT), user acceptance testing (UAT), and managing deployments to production.
- Address system issues promptly, manage incident resolution, and ensure smooth operations.
- Initiate continuous improvements to HR processes and Workday usability.
- Create and maintain reports and dashboards for HR stakeholders.
- Document functional and technical aspects thoroughly.
- Lead end-to-end solutioning for HCM workday, including core compensation modules.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- 6 to 10 years' experience in HR systems, particularly with comprehensive expertise in Workday Core HCM.
- Hands-on experience configuring Business Processes, Organization Structures, Job & Position Management, Security fundamentals, and Core Compensation within Workday.
- Strong understanding of the complete HR lifecycle processes.
- Experience with Workday integration components such as EIB, Core Connectors, and APIs.
- Competency in data management and reporting within Workday.
- Effective stakeholder management and communication abilities.
- Ability to function efficiently in a global, cross-functional environment.
- Capacity to innovate and drive adoption of new system solutions.
- Deep subject matter expertise in end-to-end HCM and compensation configuration in Workday.
Preferred Qualifications
- Workday certification in HCM or Core Compensation.
- Involvement in large-scale global HR transformations.
- Familiarity with Agile project delivery methods.
- Experience with additional Workday modules such as Talent Acquisition, Performance, Absence, and integrations.
- Knowledge of data governance and regulatory compliance frameworks.
