Role Overview

We are looking for vigilant and reliable Asset Protection Representatives to join our respected nationwide team. In this front-line security role, you will help maintain a secure shopping atmosphere by preventing theft and fraud in busy grocery and pharmacy environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Actively deter shoplifting, fraud, and breaches of company policy through consistent and professional visibility inside the store.
• Confidently and safely detain individuals suspected of wrongdoing while adhering strictly to legal and company guidelines.
• Conduct thorough internal and external investigations, gathering and examining evidence, and collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary.
• Work closely with store management to identify patterns of loss and implement effective strategies to minimize shrinkage.
• Maintain compliance with company security policies, operational standards, and applicable provincial laws.
• Adapt quickly in a fast-moving environment and manage a flexible schedule to address emerging security concerns.

Qualifications and Skills

• Possess a valid Provincial Security Guard License and familiarity with relevant laws such as the Criminal Code of Canada and Trespass to Property Act.
• Proficient with surveillance technologies including CCTV and knowledgeable in Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Exhibit an approachable, confident demeanor with excellent communication skills.
• Demonstrate integrity, trustworthiness, accountability, and proactive problem-solving abilities.
• Experience in grocery, pharmacy, or other retail settings involving high customer volume is advantageous.

Additional Information

• Applicants must be 18 years or older and will be subject to a criminal background check.
• This position offers an hourly wage starting at $19.00, with pay adjusted for experience and location.
