Job description

Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled Assembler to join our production team at our Hook, England facility. The role involves executing operational tasks within the designated business unit, aiding training efforts, and contributing to continuous product and process expertise development. The position requires taking ownership of assigned work areas and responsibilities to meet company standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support line management across all levels to achieve company business goals.
  • Adhere strictly to Quality, Health & Safety, and Environmental policies.
  • Gain comprehensive understanding of all activities within your work area.
  • Assist in inventory management and stock control processes.
  • Maintain and enhance cleanliness and organization in physical workspaces, exceeding housekeeping expectations.
  • Ensure traceability is maintained throughout manufacturing operations.
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures to assemble battery stacks with precise alignment of components such as electrodes, frames, separators, and bipolar plates.
  • Operate fundamental pilot line machines including mixer dyers, heaters, chillers, pallet trucks, and automated dispensing systems.

Requirements and Desired Attributes

  • Self-driven with excellent punctuality.
  • 1 to 10 years of experience in regulated manufacturing sectors like electronics, automotive, plastics, or medical devices; prior battery assembly experience is not mandatory.
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude, flexibility, and enthusiasm toward work.
  • Willingness to take on responsibilities and pursue Level 3 Inspection Training.
  • Ability to accurately read and interpret schematics using schematic tools.
  • Comfortable performing repetitive tasks consistently.

Working Hours and Salary

  • Shift pattern: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
  • Starting salary: from £14 per hour (paid breaks included).

Additional Information

This role requires a long-term commitment and is not suited to candidates seeking short-term or temporary engagements. There is potential for the position to become permanent with opportunities for advancement into senior roles.
