About the Role
Join a respected, design-focused architectural studio based in St Albans that specializes in delivering technically accurate, client-centered residential and mixed-use projects. This practice is noted for high-quality design work and offers involvement throughout all RIBA stages, providing a rewarding opportunity for an Architectural Technician to assume significant responsibility within a supportive, progressive team.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the technical development of residential and mixed-use projects, guiding them from the planning phase through to completion.
- Create detailed construction documentation and comprehensive drawing sets ensuring precision and clarity.
- Engage and coordinate with clients, external consultants, and construction teams to confirm adherence to technical and regulatory requirements.
- Support project progression across all RIBA stages, ensuring quality and technical excellence.
- Work closely with senior staff to address and resolve construction details and technical issues efficiently.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Architectural Technology or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience working in a technical capacity within a UK architectural practice.
- Deep knowledge of UK Building Regulations and modern construction methodologies.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, with additional skills in Photoshop and InDesign regarded as beneficial.
- Experience contributing to significant residential developments.
- Strong organizational capabilities paired with excellent communication and coordination skills.
- A proactive mindset with a focus on practical solutions to technical challenges.
