Role Overview

As an Applied AIoT Scientist, you will spearhead the design and development of AI systems that amalgamate diverse sensor data to solve industrial and enterprise use cases. Your work will merge advanced AI research, multimodal modeling, edge computing, and sensor systems while collaborating with go-to-market and engineering teams to identify promising AIoT initiatives and lead them through all stages — from conception to deployment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead creation of AIoT solutions integrating multimodal sensing data to solve industrial challenges.
  • Operate in a startup-like environment, developing demos and proofs-of-concept to validate technology and impact.
  • Adapt foundational AI models for processing diverse sensor inputs.
  • Design sensor fusion architectures combining vision, telemetry, time-series, and other data streams for rich environment representation.
  • Create agentic systems capable of reasoning over multimodal sensor data and executing intelligent actions across interconnected systems.
  • Develop predictive, anomaly detection, optimization, and automated controls based on modeling physical environments.
  • Collaborate with product and engineering groups to embed validated AIoT capabilities into scalable cloud and edge platforms.
  • Engage directly with senior and executive leadership by presenting AIoT strategies and technical roadmaps.

Qualifications

  • Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related disciplines.
  • Proven expertise in deep learning, multimodal modeling, sensor fusion, and time series analysis.
  • Experience working with multiple sensor modalities and IoT data ecosystems.
  • Knowledge of sensing architectures and data communication protocols in industrial or streaming environments.
  • Experience in building and deploying agentic AI systems.
  • Preferably skilled in deploying AI solutions to production on cloud or edge platforms.
  • Strong ability to rapidly prototype and iterate solutions with customer collaboration through demos and prototypes.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interaction with technical teams and senior stakeholders.
