Role Overview

We are seeking a committed Full Stack Developer to join our team and play a vital role in enhancing our core internal applications. This 12-month fixed-term position is based at our Cremorne office. You will be responsible for the entire software development life cycle including requirements analysis, best practice implementation, and deployment of innovative solutions in a dynamic, DevOps-driven setting. Working closely with both technical teams and business stakeholders, you will champion continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining data integrity.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance internal applications by developing, integrating, testing, and deploying aligned solutions adhering to business goals and team protocols.
• Collaborate with business units to define and analyze technical requirements with accurate time and risk estimation.
• Partner with architecture teams to define standards, methodologies, and best practices for system implementation and application development.
• Oversee the integration of solutions ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
• Enhance the value, consistency, and accuracy of business data.
• Identify and recommend opportunities to improve business workflows and supporting systems to optimize efficiency and customer experience.
• Create and maintain detailed documentation while keeping communication transparent with stakeholders.
• Maintain proactive communication with internal customers to stay aligned on evolving business priorities.
• Build effective relationships with external vendors to maximize service delivery performance.

Candidate Profile

• Relevant degree in Information Technology or related field.
• Extensive software development experience with at least 5 years working in Java, Groovy, Grails, Spring frameworks, JavaScript/TypeScript, and Object-Oriented Programming.
• Proficiency with front-end JavaScript frameworks like React or Vue.
• Experience with PL/SQL and CI/CD tools along with automation practices.
• Familiarity with Linux and Unix operating system administration.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to function effectively in an unstructured DevOps environment with a high level of autonomy.
• Prior experience or knowledge of the retail energy sector is advantageous.
