Job description
About DevExplore and Xsolla
DevExplore is seeking an AI-First Engineering Intern to join a company transitioning into an AI-centered organization. Xsolla, a key collaborator, is a global commerce platform based in Los Angeles that supports over 1,500 game developers with tools for funding, distributing, marketing, and monetizing games worldwide.
Role Overview
This internship offers a hands-on opportunity to build and deploy AI-driven software that serves both internal teams and external users including game developers and players. The focus will be on developing AI tools to streamline operations and creating proof-of-concept applications leveraging Xsolla's APIs and SDKs to highlight AI's potential in accelerating development.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deploy production-quality AI solutions collaboratively with senior engineers, targeting operational inefficiencies.
- Create applications that leverage Xsolla's APIs and SDKs to demonstrate enhancements in speed through AI assistance.
- Utilize agentic coding platforms such as Claude Code or Cursor as primary development tools.
- Conduct weekly concise presentations showcasing AI problem-solving approaches and outcomes.
- Work autonomously with minimal procedural oversight, designing and implementing effective solutions guided by mentor support.
- Engage in collaborative exchanges with senior mentors and international intern cohorts to share ideas, codebases, and AI workflows.
Candidate Profile
- Currently pursuing or recently graduated from a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related disciplines.
- Strong builder mentality demonstrated through personal projects, hackathon participation, or contributions to open-source software.
- Practical experience utilizing agentic coding tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot) to develop tangible applications rather than just theoretical prompting.
- Proactive and able to initiate development and problem-solving effectively even when presented with vague or incomplete directions.
- Competent in full-stack development with a rapid learning curve for adopting new technologies.
Application Instructions
- Provide a portfolio link featuring GitHub repositories, live projects, or self-initiated work samples.
- Submit a brief explanation (2–3 sentences or a short video) describing a challenging project recently undertaken and the motivation behind it.
