We currently have a vacancy for an AD Specialist Advisor on a fixed-term contract of approximately 24 months within the Human Resources and Workplaces Directorate. Key Responsibilities

  • Coach and advise line managers confidentially on employee relations matters, including complex human resource issues, ensuring compliance with legislation while guiding managers on appropriate handling of cases.
  • Manage complex cases from start to finish, providing consistent, informed, and professional service on topics such as arbitration, grievances, absenteeism, promotion, performance, and dignity at work, mitigating risk to the Bank through adherence to policy and best practice.
  • Provide support and guidance within the performance management process related to appeals and related issues to maintain the integrity and effectiveness of the process.
  • Develop and deliver training to line managers on employee-related matters to enable consistent, solution-focused human resource management.
  • Offer advice and education to colleagues and AD management on effective implementation of procedures in arbitration, grievances, and dignity at work, and recommend early intervention strategies to reduce risk and enhance capability and confidence in addressing issues.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in employee relations to regularly review HR policies, ensuring their suitability, compliance with legislative changes, and alignment with best practices.
  • Build and maintain stakeholder relationships with relevant staff representatives.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • A degree in Human Resources, Business Studies, or a related discipline.
  • Membership of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) is desirable.
  • At least 5 years’ experience managing arbitration, grievance, and performance management cases from start to finish.
  • Documented experience working with senior management in complex large organizations and influencing outcomes.
  • Experience in industries that have undergone significant transformation.
  • Strong understanding of current Irish employment legislation.
  • Expertise in HR policies and procedures with practical operation and interpretation experience.
  • Ability to assess potential problems and exercise sound judgment on issues that could adversely impact HR functions and employee engagement.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with proven ability to build and maintain relationships.
  • Excellent commercial acumen, business awareness, and motivation; capability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills with the ability to coach and advise managers effectively.
