Role Overview
The Academic Head will champion the academic vision and operational leadership at JSFT, functioning full-time onsite in Kochi. This pivotal role requires managing curriculum delivery, ensuring high academic standards, and aligning educational offerings with evolving industry requirements. Key responsibilities include collaborating with faculty for curriculum design and updates, embedding practical work-based learning elements, monitoring student progress and outcomes, managing academic scheduling, mentoring staff, performing academic quality reviews, and partnering with industry stakeholders to maintain current and relevant course content. Additionally, the role entails fostering a student-focused learning atmosphere, spearheading educational innovation, and facilitating institutional accreditation and compliance.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Proven expertise in Educational and Team Management to effectively lead academic operations and guide faculty members.
- Competency in Curriculum Development and Education to design, implement, and continuously refine industry-aligned academic programs.
- Strong communication skills for effective engagement with students, faculty, industry collaborators, and other stakeholders.
- Significant experience in leadership within higher education contexts, especially in technology or work-integrated program settings.
- Advanced qualifications in Education, Management, Computer Science, or related disciplines are preferred.
- Track record of driving academic innovation, upholding quality standards, and supporting diverse learner populations.
- Exceptional organizational, analytical, and stakeholder management capabilities, coupled with a commitment to inclusive and equitable education.
