About the Role
This permanent, full-time position is based at the Newtownabbey headquarters. Hourly pay ranges from £10.90 to £13.00, dependent on experience, with additional overtime and bonus opportunities. Working hours are Monday to Friday between 7:00 AM and 5:30 PM, with work also required approximately every other Saturday.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect filled tubs for content and quantity, preparing them for shipment.
- Assemble tub orders for dispatch and thoroughly clean returned tubs for reuse.
- Load flatbed lorries and customer vehicles efficiently and safely.
- Operate equipment including forklifts, loading shovels, and shunt lorries.
- Handle off-loading of incoming deliveries.
- Perform manual and mechanical yard sweeping to maintain cleanliness.
- Ensure prompt cleanup and safe recycling of spillages as applicable.
- Transport recycled materials to designated bins and storage locations.
- Clean the filter press equipment at the conclusion of each production day.
- Conduct daily counts and cleanings of used tubs.
- Monitor consumable stock levels and report when running low.
- Perform routine maintenance inspections on plant and machinery.
- Respond immediately to audible alarms from plant equipment.
- Adhere strictly to Health and Safety as well as Environmental laws and regulations on site.
Required Skills and Experience
- Strong ability to organize personal tasks and responsibilities independently.
- Capability to work proactively without constant supervision.
Preferred Qualifications
- At least two years of experience in the construction industry.
- A valid full driving license.
- License for forklift operation and Site Handler qualification, with practical experience operating machinery such as loading shovels and diggers.
