Role Overview

This PRN X-Ray Technologist position is based in Hendersonville, TN and involves performing portable and other X-ray exams, often in emergency room settings at both hospital and freestanding facilities. The role is designed for someone who can work independently, handle a variety of cases, and contribute to a supportive patient-focused environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support patients through complex imaging procedures with calm, compassionate care.
  • Operate portable X-ray equipment and other related imaging tools.
  • Address minor issues with equipment when they arise.
  • Keep equipment and work areas clean and orderly.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with hospital teams, coworkers, and patients.
  • Use the required technical tools for the diagnostic imaging modality.
  • Take on additional duties as needed.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of experience after graduation.
  • Current RT(R) and ARRT credentials, along with state licensure where required.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Active BLS/CPR certification.
  • Professional behavior and strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work on your own with minimal supervision.
  • Must meet hospital hiring health standards, including drug screening and background verification.
  • Comfort using mobile phone devices and applications.
