Role Overview

As a News & Current Affairs writer, you will collaborate with editorial peers to inform, entertain, and engage readers on trending Singaporean topics. This position demands daily involvement in newsgathering, pitching, and content development, while contributing to both written and video formats.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage in daily newsgathering and reporting activities.
• Collaborate with writing and video teams to develop and pitch story concepts.
• Independently investigate leads, conduct thorough research, and follow through on story pitches.
• Assist in managing social media platforms, including composing captions for posts.

Candidate Profile

Ideal candidates are news enthusiasts with a sharp eye for detail and excellent command of English. Familiarity with current social media trends and the ability to perform under tight deadlines is essential. Candidates should also be comfortable hosting and presenting on video when needed. Mental resilience, tenacity, and adaptability in a fast-evolving and competitive media environment are critical traits.

A senior writer position is available for those possessing 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in newsgathering and reporting.
