Role Summary

The Workday Learning Analyst acts as the key expert for Workday HCM system functionalities, especially regarding the Learning module. This role bridges the gap between the Workday system, Learning Center of Excellence, and business leaders to translate learning and talent strategies into scalable system solutions. The Analyst is responsible for designing, configuring, and continually improving learning functionalities, ensuring data accuracy, streamlined operations, and a smooth user experience across the enterprise and technical integrations.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the subject matter expert for Learning technology solutions by independently configuring, maintaining, and enhancing system functionalities that support enterprise-wide learning programs, compliance needs, and business goals.
• Design and manage Learning-related business processes, including condition rules, eligibility criteria, and notifications, while analyzing their effects and ensuring adherence to governance and downstream workflows.
• Configure Learner Rules, Recertification Rules, Campaigns, Audiences, custom reports, and calculated fields to align with business requirements and regulatory compliance for effective learner targeting.
• Resolve complex issues raised by business stakeholders or through system interfaces by conducting root cause analyses and validating data integrity.
• Lead requirements gathering with stakeholders, evaluate options, document functional needs, and manage design, testing, deployment, and ongoing support of learning system enhancements, recommending solutions balancing needs and system capabilities.
• Collaborate with HRIS, Integration, IT, and vendor teams to support integrations and data transfers related to Learning, including troubleshooting and validation to ensure data consistency.
• Plan and continuously improve recurring Learning processes such as compliance assignments and certifications, defining operational controls for successful execution and audit readiness.
• Assist with system testing for upgrades and configuration changes, research production issues, maintain documentation, and oversee regression testing coordinated with Workday releases.
• Advise Learning and HR teams on system capabilities, best practices, and reporting, and provide functional training and documentation to support adoption and self-service tools.
• Develop operational monitoring, audit controls, exception reporting, and system health checks, proactively identifying trends and improvement opportunities through data analysis.
• Ensure compliance with data integrity, governance, security, and audit policies by monitoring configurations, processes, integrations, and data quality.
• Create complex reports, dashboards, calculated fields, and visualizations to support operational decisions, compliance demands, and business analytics.
• Work collaboratively within an Agile framework supporting HCM, Talent, Performance, and related domains to deliver solutions and system enhancements.
• Maintain strong relationships with business owners, advocate for processes, manage issue resolution, and develop risk mitigation and resolution plans.

Educational and Experience Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, or a related discipline preferred.
• Three to five years of experience administering and configuring HR systems is required.
• Three to five years of hands-on experience with Workday HCM, Learning, and Reporting modules is mandatory.
• Workday Pro Certifications in HCM, Learning, Talent, or Performance domains are preferred.
• Experience with Workday Talent and Performance modules is advantageous.
• Proven ability to independently manage system configurations and lead medium-level enhancements from conception through rollout.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management principles.
