Role overview
This position supports the Site Lead and Inventory Controller in keeping warehouse activities running smoothly for Reckitt. The role focuses on daily warehouse execution so that receipts, stock postings, put-away, storage, and safety standards are consistently achieved.
Key responsibilities
- Begin each shift with a briefing and end it with a debriefing through a toolbox meeting.
- Receive goods in the correct condition and quantity, and ensure the handover is signed off by the driver and security staff.
- Record incoming stock in the WMS system immediately after receipt is confirmed.
- Take full ownership of product handling, order picking, storage, and stock accuracy.
- Monitor and reduce stock losses, and explain any discrepancies or non-conformities to the Site Lead for review and escalation.
- Restrict warehouse access to non-warehouse personnel.
- Maintain product quality within warehouse zones and keep the WMS quantities aligned with actual physical stock.
- Keep daily reports, productivity records, resource lists, and filing systems clear, accurate, and up to date.
- Ensure safety standards are upheld at all workstations, with a target of zero lost-time accidents.
- Perform additional duties as required by business priorities, even if they are outside the listed scope.
Candidate profile
The ideal candidate should hold a Diploma in Supply Chain or Logistics and have at least 3 years of work experience. Strong planning and organization skills are important, along with the ability to adapt to shift work and irregular working days. The role also requires comfort working in a physically demanding environment, plus strong spoken and written communication in English and Kiswahili. Analytical thinking and practical problem-solving ability are also essential.
