Role Overview

This role is crucial within the logistics environment, focusing on supervising overall Health and Safety standards at a delivery station. The position involves working towards the continuous improvement of functionality and efficiency in health and safety management.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee Health and Safety and employee satisfaction at the designated delivery station, ensuring employee wellbeing and productivity.
• Collaborate effectively on Health and Safety projects across various Operations sites.
• Provide expert guidance on Health & Safety matters to all stakeholders, particularly within the area of responsibility.
• Review and audit existing Health & Safety management systems, implementing improvements as necessary.
• Develop and implement work systems designed to reduce Health and Safety risks, including recommending adaptations to machinery and processes.
• Establish and maintain robust reporting mechanisms for Health and Safety statistics.
• Create comprehensive Health & Safety documentation, including procedures, tools, and training materials in both English and the local language.
• Furnish management with relevant information and statistics pertaining to the area of responsibility.
• Support business changes through effective change management processes within the flexible environment of the delivery station.
• Lead behavioral culture change programs across a large, complex, multi-shift operation.
• Implement and monitor Amazon’s global safety policies, ensuring compliance with local legislative requirements.
• Ensure contractor management safety processes are effectively implemented.

Basic Qualifications

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a workplace health and safety (WHS) related field.
• Proficiency in OSHA regulations, specifically 29 CFR 1910.
• A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent qualification.
• Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Word in a professional context.
• Proven ability to maintain confidentiality regarding security or personnel matters in the workplace.
• NEBOSH or IOSH certification.
• Strong communication skills in both English and Arabic.
• Kawader certified Level 2.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in emergency response management.
• Experience in managing worker's compensation cases.
