The brand is expanding its wholesale business across the UK and seeks a seasoned Wholesale Sales Manager to drive this growth by establishing strong partnerships with distinguished retailers.
Role Overview
The Wholesale Sales Manager will report directly to the company's founders and play a crucial role in enhancing Club 1984's footprint within the UK wholesale fashion market. This position requires a commercially savvy professional experienced in the premium or luxury fashion sector with a proven record of opening new wholesale accounts and building long-lasting retail relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Devise and implement an effective wholesale strategy targeting the UK market.
- Identify and approach potential wholesale clients including premium department stores, luxury retailers, and prominent independent boutiques.
- Manage the full wholesale sales cycle from initial contact through onboarding and fostering repeat business.
- Conduct presentations of seasonal collections via buyer appointments, showroom meetings, and trade events.
- Negotiate business terms, pricing structures, delivery timelines, and contractual agreements.
- Collaborate closely with founders and internal teams to ensure smooth order fulfillment and grow accounts.
- Maintain ongoing relationships with wholesale partners to drive repeat sales and sustained success.
- Analyze sales data to recognize growth opportunities within existing accounts.
- Represent Club 1984 at UK fashion trade shows, showroom presentations, and relevant industry functions.
Candidate Requirements
- At least three years of wholesale sales experience within premium, contemporary, or luxury fashion sectors.
- Demonstrable success in securing new wholesale distribution channels across the UK.
- Possession of a robust network comprising UK fashion buyers and retail decision-makers.
- Strong skills in commercial negotiation and managing retail relationships.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Experience managing seasonal wholesale schedules and ordering processes.
- Self-driven with an entrepreneurial mindset fit for a rapidly evolving brand.
Preferred Experience
- Existing connections with buyers at flagship stores such as Selfridges, Harrods, Harvey Nichols, END., Flannels, Browns, and leading premium independent boutiques.
- Background in launching emerging premium fashion brands within the UK market.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the UK's premium fashion retail landscape.
