Role overview
Ernest Chemists is a leading pharmaceutical business in Ghana and is looking to hire a practical, hands-on wholesale cashier to work from one of these branches: Okaishie, Odorkor, Tema, Dzorwulu, Spintex, or East Legon.
Key accountabilities
- Accept and process customer payments accurately.
- Prepare and issue receipts for every customer purchase.
- Check printed receipts to confirm they are correct.
- Work out and hand back the correct change when needed.
- Handle basic customer enquiries and support customers where required.
- Balance cash and sales receipts at the end of each day.
- Carry out bookkeeping tasks following the company’s established procedures.
- Keep the checkout space neat, clean, and organized.
- Compile and submit cash reports.
- Support shelf stocking and other duties across the branch when needed.
Required qualification and experience
The role requires an HND in Accounting or a closely related field. Training in digital marketing techniques will be considered an added advantage. Applicants should have at least two years of experience in a similar role.
Location requirement
Applicants must currently live in or around Okaishie, Odorkor, Tema, Dzorwulu, Spintex, or East Legon.
