About the Role

This position is for an experienced front-end developer to join a team focused on creating web-based casual games, including well-known titles like Solitaire. The team is developing a new gaming platform and requires support to maintain and enhance the current stack while compensating for lost full-time employees.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in daily team meetings to address any roadblocks and align on project progress.
  • Work collaboratively with Engineering, Production, and Design teams to deliver top-quality features.
  • Convert Figma designs and detailed interaction specifications into thoroughly tested, accessible, and production-ready user interface components.
  • Improve and extend existing design systems and framework code with precise attention to detail.
  • Identify and resolve bugs and performance issues, ensuring that delivered features meet quality standards.
  • Engage in code reviews and use project management tools to plan, monitor, and communicate development progress.

Required Skills and Experience

  • At least 7 years of experience implementing pixel-perfect user interfaces.
  • 7+ years of experience with quality assurance and testing methodologies.
  • 5 to 7+ years of hands-on experience with TypeScript and HTML Canvas.

Desired Additional Skills

  • Familiarity with React or Solid.js frameworks.
  • Understanding of web accessibility standards including WCAG 2.x AA compliance.
  • Experience with single-page application concepts such as routing and state management.
  • Knowledge of Dotnet (C#) is a plus.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The best candidate is a highly motivated and detail-focused front-end engineer with 5 to 7 years of relevant experience who excels in fast-paced, small teams with minimal bureaucracy. They are passionate about writing clean code and have a track record of accurately translating designs into interactive, pixel-perfect UIs. Interest or experience in web game development is highly valued.
