Role Summary

This role places you in the fighter aircraft’s “shotgun seat,” where you take responsibility for the aircraft’s weapons, navigation, and electronic warfare systems. The position is designed to build sharp concentration, resilience, and tactical instincts that are useful both in flight and beyond it. The appointment falls under the Enhanced Officers Scheme (EOS).

Core Duties

  • Serve as the weapon systems officer on fighter aircraft during complex and high-pressure operational missions.
  • Carry out ongoing and advanced training to maintain proficiency in military flying and weapon systems operations during peacetime.
  • At the supervisory level, guide, manage, instruct, and administer the aircrew placed under your charge.

Qualifications and Requirements

Candidates should hold a degree, diploma, or an A-Level/IB certificate. Medical and service requirements include eyesight of less than 800 degrees per eye, astigmatism below 300 degrees per eye, and PES classification A or B1.
