About the role
This position supports warehouse operations by enforcing safety requirements and ensuring that inventory flows smoothly from receipt to storage, picking, and dispatch. The goal is to protect product quality, improve customer service, and deliver strong productivity results.

What you will do
- Make sure stacking rules set by the business and by law are consistently followed.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and order across the warehouse and surrounding areas.
- Ensure the correct personal protective equipment is worn at all times according to site and area rules.
- Apply VPO and DPO requirements in full and follow all related protocols.
- Keep 5S standards in place throughout warehouse activities and drive continued improvement.
- Share global policies with the team and make sure they are understood and followed.
- Review SOPs regularly through management routines and make sure all warehouse staff understand them.
- Use team rooms for routine meetings and structured problem solving.
- Maintain SCL routines and monitor compliance.
- Drive a safe warehouse environment by raising awareness of safety expectations and tracking compliance with safety processes.
- Use structured problem-solving methods such as 5 Why, Abnormality Reports, SIC, OPLs, RACI, OWDs, and PDCA to create action plans that improve KPIs and PIs.
- Set KPI and PI targets for individual team members, standardize achievement tracking, and monitor individual performance.
- Support the best practice generation process, carry out approved projects, and show measurable improvement.
- Ensure the warehouse is organized according to the correct layout, including empties, refusal, picking, and finished goods zones.
- Monitor ABC compliance to improve warehouse efficiency.
- Use load summaries to ensure the correct loading of both split pallets and full pallets.
- Oversee loading and unloading so product counts are accurate at both ends and delivery documents are properly signed and issued.
- Protect stock age standards by applying stock rotation principles.
- Check packaging quality on the warehouse floor before loading.
- Apply FEFO for sales orders and LIFO for inter-depot transfers.
- Prevent blocked stock from being loaded for customer deliveries and communicate daily blocked-stock updates.
- Take part in shift handovers before and after every shift.
- Ensure stock counts are accurate and signed off before and after each shift.
- Supervise containers handed over to production and confirm they are in good condition to avoid DCBL.
- Receive full beer from production and ensure all parties agree on the received quantity.
- Control breakages and inventory losses and improve how these losses are tracked.
- Credit empties returns into the warehouse on time in line with SOPs.
- Keep communication clear and effective with the Inventory Analyst/Clerk and/or Stocks and Settlement Officer.
- Oversee the standard picking process through management routines.
- Make sure the picking and sorting area is laid out efficiently and supports zero-man machine interactions.
- Set and monitor picking and sorting KPIs/PIs per man-hour, including replenishment adherence and MBFU trends.
- Track compliance with sorting standards and targets.
- Train staff and ensure sorting inspections are conducted regularly, then close gaps with corrective actions.
- Follow fuel-usage standards, reduce idling, and avoid unnecessary braking.
- Work to eliminate breakages and missing bottles by applying safe driving practices.
- Complete pre-trip inspection forms accurately every day.
- Keep fuel records up to date and submit fuel reports on schedule.
- Submit all DPO-related reports and requirements on time, including SIO reporting.
- Send accurate stock-count sheets on time and ensure they are properly signed.
- Align the shop floor around shared goals and meeting routines that support continuous improvement.
- Conduct monthly one-on-ones in line with the target review process.
- Review engagement survey results and follow up with actions to address concerns.
- Recruit talent and help build a strong succession pipeline.
- Carry out 180 reviews and address poor performance through improvement plans or disciplinary hearings where needed.
Requirements
- Grade 12 certificate with 6 credits.
- Diploma in Production or a related discipline.
- At least 3 years of warehouse operations experience.
- Strong numeracy and literacy skills.
- Fluency in English and Swahili.
- Good verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to stay effective under pressure.
- Comfortable adapting to change.
- Computer literacy.
