Job description
Overview
This position is with Amazon at a warehouse/sortation site in Rochester, England. The role is designed for people who want flexible warehouse work, with both day and night shifts available and options for full-time or part-time schedules depending on shift availability.
Pay
Day shifts are paid at £14.50 per hour. Night shifts are paid at £16.82 per hour, which includes a £2.32 night shift allowance. Overtime is paid at £21.75 per hour for 40 to 50 hours, and £29 per hour for 50 to 60 hours.

The workplace is LCY8 - Amazon Sort Centre (LCY8), Unit 1, London Medway Commercial Park, Stoke Road, Rochester, ME3 9NS.
Experience
No previous warehouse experience is needed, as full on-the-job training is provided.
What You’ll Do
- Unload items, lift goods, and move products around the site.
- Scan, separate, and route parcels across Amazon’s full product range.
- After training, you may also operate industrial equipment such as forklifts and power pallets to move stock.
- You may work both inside the facility and outside in the yard to help maintain safe and efficient operations for the team and delivery partners.
Working Conditions and Physical Demands
The job requires strict attention to safety, quality, and productivity standards. You may need to remain standing and walking for long periods, potentially for more than 8 hours in a shift. The role can also involve lifting items up to 23 kg, as well as bending, twisting, kneeling, and crouching. In addition, you may be asked to handle products from Amazon’s full assortment, including alcohol, pork, beef, and other animal products.
