About the Role
Aosom Canada, a prominent eCommerce retailer dealing in home, garden, outdoor, pet, and fitness products, is inaugurating a new 220,000 sq.ft. distribution center in Calgary, Alberta, slated for operation starting November 2026. We are looking for a seasoned and proactive Warehouse Manager to lead and shape warehouse operations from the ground up prior to the launch.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the physical setup and operational launch of the Calgary distribution center.
- Support warehouse layout design, oversee racking installations, select equipment, and implement operational processes.
- Establish and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), workflows, and operational benchmarks.
- Manage day-to-day warehouse functions including receiving, stock put-away, inventory control, order processing, shipping, and handling returns.
- Oversee workforce management including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance assessment.
- Lead warehouse supervisors and staff to meet and exceed productivity and service objectives.
- Ensure precise inventory counts and enforce stock control practices.
- Guarantee timely and accurate shipment of customer orders.
- Initiate and promote continuous improvement efforts aimed at boosting efficiency, productivity, and cost management.
- Uphold compliance with internal policies, safety regulations, and industry best practices.
- Manage warehouse equipment upkeep, facility maintenance, and resource allocation.
- Monitor key operational performance indicators (KPIs) and take corrective steps as needed.
Qualifications and Skills
- Quick learner with strong analytical and logical reasoning abilities.
- Minimum of 5 years’ proven experience in warehouse management.
- Deep understanding of warehouse management standards and methodologies.
- Experience in retail or eCommerce warehouse environments.
- Proven success in implementing process improvements.
- Strong knowledge of warehousing KPIs.
- Hands-on experience with warehouse management ERP systems and databases.
- Leadership capabilities with effective staff management skills.
- Strong decision-making aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or business administration.
- Proficiency in English; Mandarin language skills considered an asset.

Compensation
The salary range for this role is CAD 70,000 to CAD 90,000 annually.
