Role Overview
Morgan McKinley is partnering with a prominent client in the logistics and supply chain sector to appoint a seasoned Warehouse & Logistics Operational Excellence Manager. This strategic leadership role goes beyond routine management by spearheading transformative initiatives to evolve a significant distribution site, boosting sustainable growth through innovative operational improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct strategic transformation projects spanning warehousing, transportation, and operational workflows.
- Develop and execute scalable operations strategies that sustain existing and anticipated business expansion.
- Collaborate with commercial teams to craft logistics solutions centered on customer needs and support business development.
- Enhance operational performance focusing on productivity, service quality, profitability, and cost optimization.
- Lead continuous improvement efforts, embedding industry best practices within warehousing and transport functions.
- Ensure strict adherence to health and safety, quality standards, and regulatory compliance.
- Mentor and motivate management teams, cultivating accountability, cooperation, and high performance.
- Leverage operational data and KPIs to pinpoint improvement areas, guide decisions, and realize tangible business outcomes.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to guarantee outstanding service delivery.
Candidate Profile
- Proven leadership in warehousing, logistics, transportation, or supply chain operations.
- Successful track record in operational excellence, transformative change, and continuous improvement implementation.
- Strong commercial insight balancing customer satisfaction, operational effectiveness, and financial targets.
- Experience optimizing warehouse and transport processes for higher productivity and efficiency.
- Excellent leadership, communication skills, and stakeholder engagement capability.
- Collaborative leadership style with influence across organizational levels.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills focused on measurable impact.
Preferred Qualifications
- Possession of Transport Manager CPC or relevant logistics, transport, or supply chain certification.
- Exposure to large distribution centers, FMCG, manufacturing, or third-party logistics settings.
- Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or other continuous improvement frameworks.
