Role Overview
This position is focused on managing wallet operations in the UAE, with responsibility for keeping exchange wallets running smoothly, reducing operational risk, and improving processes across teams and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day functioning of exchange wallets, including deposits and withdrawals.
- Track blockchain activity to keep transactions moving on time and address delays or failed transactions.
- Ensure wallet systems remain available and operational with minimal downtime.
- Handle network upgrades, token-related events, and testing activities without disruption.
- Prepare monthly wallet balance and transaction reports for submission to the FSRA.
- Watch internal alerts, coordinate with internal teams and outside parties during incidents, and help implement safeguards.
- Regularly assess existing controls and risk procedures to reduce future impact on the company and users.
- Streamline internal workflows and look for opportunities to automate or simplify operations for better efficiency and user experience.
- Study competitors and market developments to identify process and product improvement opportunities.
- Partner with Customer Support to resolve wallet-related user issues.
- Work with internal departments to address customer pain points and improve the product experience.
- Communicate with regulators, auditors, and other external stakeholders for licensing and certification-related needs.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in crypto wallet operations, blockchain infrastructure, or a similar function.
- Working knowledge of blockchain ecosystems such as EVM, Polkadot, Cosmos, and related technologies.
- Exposure to on-chain analytics tools, DeFi protocols, and emerging blockchain projects.
- Understanding of wallet infrastructure, including nodes, signing services, and custody frameworks such as hardware wallets, MPC, HSM, KSM, and embedded custody.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication abilities.
- Comfortable making well-reasoned decisions under pressure after assessing the operational impact.
- Ability to perform in a fast-moving, around-the-clock crypto environment, with a proactive and self-directed approach.
- Traditional finance custody experience is considered an advantage.
