Job description
Role Overview
This is a senior supply chain leadership role for someone who understands how physical product movement shapes margin, stock availability and cash flow in a fashion retail business. The assignment sits within a large, high-volume retailer that is transforming how it manages product flow and supply chain execution across multiple markets.
The business operates in a complex environment with a large number of SKUs and a constant need to balance speed, cost and inventory. The purpose of the role is to take end-to-end ownership of supply chain performance and drive meaningful improvement across the full network.
Key Responsibilities
- Take full ownership of product movement from the factory through to the customer across both retail and e-commerce channels.
- Build, refine and continuously improve the supply chain network, including supplier routing, consolidation points and distribution center design.
- Set and manage inbound logistics strategy across air, sea and land to balance speed, flexibility and cost control.
- Lead customs and import activity to support fast and reliable clearance while reducing delays.
- Synchronize inbound supply with demand signals and financial planning so stock reaches the business at the correct time and in the right quantities.
- Manage distribution center operations with a focus on throughput, accuracy and overall efficiency for both inbound and outbound flows.
- Own replenishment for stores and fulfilment for e-commerce, improving delivery frequency, last-mile cost and service performance.
- Redesign and enhance reverse logistics and returns handling to lower cost and improve recovery.
- Partner closely with merchandising and finance teams to control inventory timing, ease working capital pressure and strengthen stock turn.
- Move the operating model beyond pure execution toward true end-to-end flow control and strategic supply chain leadership.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will have experience in fully integrated, high-volume retail environments where supply chain decisions are closely tied to product and trading performance. This person should be capable of redesigning or improving supply chain networks, not only running established operations.
A strong grasp of inventory movement, lead times, and the trade-offs between speed, cost and margin is essential. The role also requires a commercial outlook and the ability to connect supply chain choices to financial and trading results.
Experience across multi-channel distribution, covering both retail and e-commerce, is important. The successful candidate must be comfortable working quickly in an environment with high SKU complexity and ongoing change, and should have a strong record of collaborating with merchandising, finance and senior leadership.
Leadership experience is also critical, including the ability to build and guide large, cross-functional teams.
Eligibility
Applications are especially welcome from internationally based professionals who have relevant experience and are open to relocating to the region. The role is intended for candidates who have worked in fully integrated, fast-moving retail environments on an international scale.
Additional Information
This is not a conventional logistics position. It requires a leader who can influence product flow as a strategic lever for business performance, not just operational execution.
