About the Role
DAZN is seeking a Vice President of Social to lead the creation and delivery of a high-impact, fan-first social presence. This position sits at the intersection of sport, storytelling, and digital culture, with a focus on building engaged communities around football and other major sports. You will help define how DAZN shows up across social platforms and shape the voice, direction, and momentum of its content.
Working in a fast-moving, creative environment, you will have the chance to turn exclusive access, rights, and talent into stories that connect with audiences across regions and time zones. The role is ideal for someone who thrives on leading teams, setting social strategy, and using platform-native ideas to grow brand relevance.
Key Responsibilities
You will oversee social strategy and execution across the company’s main channels, ensuring content is distinctive, engaging, and aligned with wider business priorities. The role requires close collaboration with production, marketing, rights, and commercial teams so that social output supports both audience growth and commercial impact.
- Set and lead the social media strategy across major platforms including Instagram, TikTok, X, and YouTube.
- Direct and support a multi-disciplinary team of editors, creators, and social strategists working across different time zones.
- Drive growth, engagement, and innovation across social channels.
- Create guidelines and playbooks for voice, tone, formats, and editorial approach.
- Partner with rights, marketing, commercial, and production teams to align content with broader objectives.
- Monitor performance, review metrics, and adjust content in real time based on insights.
- Champion experimentation with new formats, approaches, and platform opportunities.
- Help position DAZN as a standout brand in a competitive social landscape through compelling sport-led storytelling.
Requirements
The ideal candidate brings extensive social media leadership experience, a strong understanding of football culture, and the ability to guide teams while thinking strategically about platforms, audiences, and performance.
- At least 7 years of experience in social media strategy.
- Strong knowledge of football; familiarity with boxing and NFL is preferred.
- Clear understanding of how content, tone, and trends vary by platform.
- Proven experience managing teams and collaborating across functions.
- Strong editorial judgment and creative instincts suited to fan communities.
- Comfort with data, analytics, and using insights to improve outcomes.
- Genuine interest in storytelling, social-first content, and sport culture.
