Role Overview
As Social Manager – DAZN, you will lead a team of internal content creators responsible for covering DAZN’s core company priorities across major sports rights. Working within the Social team, your focus will include strategy, programming, and people management across several social handles. You will make sure the team is deployed flexibly to support sport-specific priority accounts while also contributing to the cross-sport @DAZN handle.
This is a player-coach position, so you’ll need strong editorial judgement across multiple sports, leadership capability, and the ability to personally create and publish content when required.
Salary range: USD 85,000 to USD 100,000 per year. This is a hybrid role and will be based mostly on site from the New York office.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and plan coverage across the sport-specific priority accounts and the main @DAZN channel.
- Own the social programming approach, making sure creators are deployed effectively for major events, fights, and matchdays.
- Manage content for the @DAZN handle so it can elevate the biggest moments and stories across DAZN’s rights portfolio.
- Keep the team adaptable so coverage can shift across sports based on the calendar, priorities, and live action.
- Make editorial calls during live events to ensure content is published quickly, accurately, and in a way that fits each platform.
- Produce content directly when needed, including filming, editing, posting, and clipping live feeds.
- Partner closely with sport-specific social leads, Editorial, Creative, Marketing, and Production teams.
- Use performance data and audience insights to improve coverage planning, creator allocation, and the overall content mix.
Skills and Experience
- Background leading social media teams in sports or media settings.
- Strong editorial understanding across multiple major sports.
- Ability to manage internal creators and coordinate coverage across overlapping priorities.
- Good grasp of how niche sport accounts and broader brand accounts support each other.
- Hands-on capability to create full social content from concept through publishing.
- Strategic thinking paired with strong execution.
- Deep knowledge of social scheduling, live coverage, and platform behaviour.
