Job description
Role overview
This is a 12-month contract position, with the possibility of extension, based in the MBC area of Singapore. The role sits at a senior level and will partner closely with business and infrastructure leadership to provide financial insight, shape planning decisions, and support the organisation’s direction.
In this position, you will go beyond standard reporting to surface meaningful business insights, support country-wide forecasting, and influence tactical decisions through clear analysis and commercial judgement.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the monthly management reporting process and turn financial and operational KPI data into concise, decision-ready commentary for the Board and executive committees.
- Own the annual budgeting process and rolling forecast cycles for the Singapore entity, making sure financial models support the company’s longer-term commercial objectives.
- Work with leaders across functions to spot new risks, compare competitor performance, and roll out initiatives that improve productivity.
- Promote digital improvement within Finance by simplifying processes, strengthening data governance, and encouraging the use of BI tools and AI-enabled analytics.
Requirements
- A degree or professional qualification such as CPA, CA, or CFA in Finance or Accounting, together with substantial FP&A experience in large and complex organisations; experience in Financial Services is strongly preferred.
- At least 8–10 years of experience with P&L analysis, balance sheets, funds transfer pricing, and cost allocation, plus the ability to challenge financial assumptions in a constructive way.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to connect financial analysis to business strategy and work effectively with multicultural stakeholder groups.
- Comfort working with data and a continuous improvement mindset, including advanced Excel modelling and MI/BI tools such as Tableau and Power BI.
- Preferred technical exposure includes TM1/Cognos reporting platforms, advanced SQL, Python, Alteryx, and enterprise planning systems such as Anaplan, Hyperion, or SAP/BW.
