About the Role
This opportunity is for a voice actor to help create customer service voice-cloning data for an AI project. The work is fully remote and is intended for candidates in the United States who can contribute a few hours each week.
Compensation
Pay is set between $50 and $150 per hour, depending on the assignment and experience.
Work Arrangement
This is a contract role with a weekly commitment of about 5 to 10 hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and record high-quality voice samples from a variety of script styles, including conversational, narrative, and instructional content.
- Use a clear, natural, and expressive delivery while managing tone, pacing, and pronunciation carefully.
- Keep voice quality, accent, and delivery style steady across separate recording sessions.
- Work according to detailed recording instructions for environment, microphone setup, and file formatting.
- Provide several takes when needed, adjusting emotion, emphasis, and style as requested.
Required Qualifications
- You must be a native American English speaker based in the United States.
- Prior experience in voice acting, dubbing, narration, podcasting, or broadcasting is required.
- You need access to a professional or close-to-professional recording setup, including a good microphone, a quiet space, and a pop filter.
- You should have strong control over diction, intonation, and emotional expression.
- You must be able to follow scripts accurately while still sounding natural.
- You need dependable availability for 5 to 10 hours each week during the project.
- You should be comfortable with your voice being used for voice-cloning purposes in a customer support AI agent.
Preferred Experience
- Background recording for text-to-speech systems, audiobooks, IVR systems, or AI voice datasets.
- Experience using audio editing software such as Audacity, Adobe Audition, or Reaper.
- Ability to shift between different vocal tones such as conversational, corporate, energetic, and calm.
