Overview

Gritter Francona seeks a dedicated Voice Actor to lend professional voice narration and character performances for animated educational videos. These materials support the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) National Center for PTSD, conveying vital information about trauma, posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), treatments, and related conditions. The role requires delivering narration that is engaging, compassionate, and accessible to diverse audiences, supporting National Center for PTSD’s mission to raise awareness, reduce stigma, and promote treatment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide voice narration and character voices for animated educational content and multimedia projects.
  • Interpret approved scripts to clearly and naturally convey complex behavioral health and clinical information.
  • Produce voice performances reflecting the intended tone, pace, and emotional context with scientific accuracy and professionalism.
  • Adapt vocal delivery to engage varied audiences including Veterans, trauma survivors, caregivers, healthcare personnel, and the public.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, producers, directors, scriptwriters, subject matter experts, and Government stakeholders during recording sessions.
  • Participate actively in recording sessions, rehearsals, retakes, and revisions to ensure quality standards.
  • Accurately pronounce medical and technical terms consistently throughout recordings.
  • Follow production guidance on pacing, emphasis, timing, and emotional tone to align narration with animation and educational goals.
  • Maintain professionalism during studio and remote recordings meeting deadlines and schedules.
  • Ensure all performances are trauma-informed, culturally sensitive, and appropriate for individuals with diverse traumatic experiences.
  • Support quality checks through reviewing recordings and engaging in revisions for final Government approval.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent educational qualification.
  • At least three years of professional voice acting or narration experience relevant to this kind of task.
  • Proven ability to produce high-quality voice recordings for animation, educational videos, or similar multimedia formats.
