Overview
Salvo Health is seeking experienced Virtual Medical Assistants to support our healthcare team remotely. This opportunity is ideal for professionals skilled in patient outreach through outbound calls and adept at managing administrative tasks within a telehealth environment. The position demands a detail-oriented and organized individual who excels in communication and can handle multiple responsibilities independently during the Pacific Standard Time window of 9 AM to 2 PM.
Key Duties
- Conduct outbound patient calls to complete intake procedures
- Oversee patient scheduling including appointments and follow-up coordination
- Perform data entry and maintain patient documentation within electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Monitor incoming patient messages, triage accordingly, and ensure prompt responses
- Maintain accurate and current patient records in compliance with HIPAA standards
- Handle general administrative support tasks for the care team and patients
- Manage patient-related tasks to guarantee timely communication and documentation
Candidate Profile
- Demonstrated experience as a medical assistant or equivalent administrative healthcare role, preferably in virtual settings
- Background in gastrointestinal health conditions is advantageous
- Proficient with EHR platforms such as Epic, eCW, or gGastro
- Experienced in triaging messages and medical charting
- Strong verbal and written communication skills coupled with excellent organizational abilities
- Self-starter capable of managing multiple workflow demands independently
- Familiarity with telemedicine software is beneficial
