About the Role

CoSA VFX is seeking a highly organized, strategic, and adaptable VFX Producer to join their team in Canada. The Producer will oversee project management while fostering client relationships to ensure high satisfaction through clear communication, strategic planning, and maintaining creative excellence. This role requires managing and supervising production workflows to meet client needs efficiently, including scheduling and budget control aligned with internal financial targets.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary liaison for clients regarding budget, timeline, and project scope.
  • Collaborate with the VFX Supervisor to achieve both financial and creative goals of the projects.
  • Develop and maintain project bids following the company's bidding procedures.
  • Establish comprehensive budgets and timelines for projects.
  • Oversee project budgets and schedules, allocating resources to ensure adherence to financial and timing requirements.
  • Utilize studio tools to distribute information, monitor progress, and identify potential issues.
  • Provide updates on project milestones, budgets, and objectives.
  • Recognize challenges early and propose effective solutions.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Proven excellence in client relationship management.
  • Strong communication and leadership capabilities.
  • Experience estimating a variety of VFX shots.
  • Understanding of post-production pipeline workflows.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
  • Between 3 to 5 years of experience as a VFX Producer in episodic TV, films, or commercials.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Familiarity with project management tools such as Flow Production Tracker, ShotGrid, or ShotGun.

Additional Information

This position reports to the Vice President of Production Operations and is classified as exempt from overtime due to its supervisory nature. The annual salary range for this role is between 100,000 and 150,000 Canadian dollars. The role is well-suited for candidates who enjoy collaborative work environments with smaller, international teams, requiring excellent communication and organization skills.
