Job description
Role overview
The Venture Capital Analyst will help evaluate early-stage and fast-growing businesses, with a focus on spotting attractive startups, understanding their commercial potential, and backing investment decisions with solid analysis.
What you will do
This role is centered on researching markets and industries to surface new trends, disruptive ideas, and promising investment themes. You will assess startups by looking at their business models, product-market fit, competitive position, customer traction, and growth outlook.
You will also carry out financial review and due diligence on potential investments. That includes examining financial statements, revenue models, unit economics, valuation indicators, and operating performance to judge the possible risks and returns.
Another part of the role is helping with deal sourcing. You will track startup ecosystems, follow industry movements, attend relevant events, and stay aware of emerging companies that may become investment opportunities.
You will contribute to investment memos, presentations, and internal reports by turning research findings into clear, structured recommendations. In addition, you will support portfolio monitoring by reviewing the performance of existing investments, tracking key milestones, and flagging risks or opportunities that could affect portfolio companies.
The position involves working closely with investment professionals, founders, and external contacts to gather information and support ongoing assessments. You will also take part in strategic discussions by sharing data-backed views, market observations, and competitive analysis.
