Role overview

The Venture Capital Analyst role centers on spotting, assessing, and tracking investment opportunities in startups and fast-growing businesses. The position blends market research, financial evaluation, diligence work, and portfolio support to inform investment choices.

What you will do

You will study new industries, market movements, innovative technologies, and startup ecosystems to surface attractive opportunities. The work includes examining business models, competitive strength, growth outlook, market potential, and monetization approaches to judge how compelling an investment may be.

A major part of the job is financial assessment and investment research. You will create financial models, review performance indicators, analyze financial statements, and prepare reports, presentations, and recommendations for stakeholders.

You will also take part in due diligence, which may involve market research, competitor benchmarking, founder assessment, risk review, and broader business analysis. In this role, you will work with entrepreneurs, portfolio companies, and investment teams across the investment process.

Another important area is portfolio support. You will monitor company performance, follow industry developments, spot strategic opportunities, and assist with initiatives that help portfolio businesses grow sustainably over the long term.

Qualifications
