Job description
Role overview
The Venture Capital Analyst position supports investment research, opportunity assessment, and portfolio tracking for early-stage and fast-growing businesses. The focus is on spotting attractive startups, examining how they operate, and turning findings into clear insights that inform investment choices.
What you will do
You will look into markets and industries to identify emerging themes, disruptive technologies, and business opportunities with scale potential. You will also review startups by assessing their business models, product-market fit, competitive position, customer traction, and growth outlook.
A major part of the role involves financial analysis and due diligence on potential investments. This includes reviewing financial statements, revenue models, unit economics, valuation measures, and operating performance to understand risk and possible returns. You will help prepare investment memos, reports, and presentations that support decision-making.
The role also contributes to deal sourcing by monitoring startup ecosystems, following industry updates, attending relevant events, and staying alert to new investment opportunities. You will help organize deal flow pipelines so that senior investment professionals can review opportunities efficiently.
In addition, you will support portfolio monitoring by tracking company progress, measuring performance against milestones, and flagging risks or opportunities that may affect current investments. The role requires close coordination with investment teams, founders, and other stakeholders to keep insights accurate and timely.
