Role overview
The Vendor Business Manager is a strategic partner to the Ingram Micro partner network, responsible for shaping vendor strategy end to end and managing key relationships. The role focuses on expanding vendor product sales and increasing market share across channels through targeted initiatives and close coordination with partners. Success in this position means building stronger vendor presence, improving market performance, and supporting growth across the ecosystem.
Key responsibilities
- Create and carry out a business plan that supports vendor goals while staying aligned with Ingram Micro’s wider direction.
- Plan and deliver marketing activities based on strong market insight, while measuring and evaluating return on investment.
- Build and manage partner growth programs and enablement initiatives.
- Support brand and ecosystem development through product assortment, incentives, partner programs, and training, making full use of Ingram Micro’s service and support resources.
- Stay current on emerging technologies, solutions, and market developments to help secure strong competitive results.
- Serve as a product champion and central link between vendors, Ingram Micro sales teams, and channel partners.
- Monitor pipeline movement, sell-out results, and go-to-market execution.
- Spot opportunities with complementary vendors and related markets to broaden channel offerings and identify new growth opportunities.
- Define, implement, and review pricing approaches, promotions, and rebate structures on a regular basis.
Candidate profile
- Brings a positive, creative, and target-oriented mindset, with a strong competitive drive.
- Has 4 to 6 years of experience in channel sales, vendor management, or business development across multiple verticals.
- Demonstrates professionalism and an entrepreneurial approach to solving problems.
- Combines strategic thinking with strong attention to detail.
- Has a proven track record of working collaboratively, showing leadership, and contributing to high-performing teams.
- Communicates clearly and confidently in both written and spoken English.
- Holds a bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent mix of education and experience.
- Has at least 1 year of field sales or market/business development experience.
- Possesses strong knowledge of products and solutions.
- Has established relationships with resellers and channel partners.
