Most inspections take place at dealerships, though some may be performed at company facilities. The role involves regular travel, strong attention to detail, and the ability to create positive customer relationships. Other work-related tasks may also be assigned to help the business operate smoothly.
What You Will Do
- Inspect vehicles across multiple settings, including dealerships, auction sites, and other off-site locations.
- Review and record structural damage, frame condition, paint quality, body panel alignment, missing components, and mechanical issues.
- Apply training and industry best practices while following management instructions and inspection procedures.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships through consistent communication and service.
- Work carefully to keep reporting accurate and reduce arbitration risk.
- Follow all relevant safety and health requirements during inspections.
- When directed, locate vehicles, start them, and move them as needed.
- Handle other assigned duties related to the role.
What You Need

- High school diploma or an equivalent qualification is required.
- 1 to 3 years of experience in the automotive industry is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a practical and innovative approach to challenges.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision while also contributing in a team environment.
- Comfortable driving both manual and automatic vehicles.
- Familiarity with web-based applications and automotive inspection tools is an advantage.
- Must be thorough, dependable, and able to provide excellent customer service.
Working Conditions
The position requires the ability to work in different weather conditions. It also involves bending, squatting, stooping, kneeling, and standing for long periods. There may be occasional exposure to loud noise and chemicals.
Compensation and Benefits
This full-time role offers a base pay range of $17.30 to $19.23 per hour. Depending on skills, qualifications, experience, and location, the role may also qualify for discretionary bonuses or commission payments. Additional benefits include a competitive bonus plan, paid time off, mileage reimbursement, medical coverage, dental coverage, vision coverage, RRSP/401k-style programs, company-paid group life and AD&D insurance, flexible working arrangements, continuous learning opportunities, and a strong workplace culture.
Pay Transparency
