Role overview
The Vehicle Detailer position has been created to help deliver vehicles that meet Clutch’s presentation standards before they reach customers. You will prepare and clean vehicles in the reconditioning facility, working alongside production teams to support quality, efficiency, and delivery timelines.
Key duties
- Carry out detailed interior and exterior vehicle cleaning, including washing, vacuuming, polishing, and sanitizing, while meeting cleanliness and production targets.
- Use the company’s standard detailing process to deliver consistent quality within required timeframes.
- Check vehicles for cleanliness issues and spot areas that need extra attention.
- Select and use the correct tools, chemicals, and detailing methods to meet company standards.
- Complete all detailing work before vehicles move to the next production stage or are delivered to customers.
- Track detailing supply levels and ask for replenishment when stock runs low.
- Handle detailing equipment safely and keep it in good working condition.
- Follow safety procedures and use chemicals correctly.
- Keep work bays and surrounding areas tidy, organized, and free from hazards.
- Work with production and quality assurance teams to help meet daily workflow goals.
Requirements
- High school diploma or an equivalent qualification.
- A valid Nova Scotia Class 5 driver’s license.
- A clean driving record with no major violations.
- Strong focus on detail and consistency.
- Good physical ability, including lifting up to 50 lbs and handling repetitive tasks such as bending and standing.
- Availability for a full-time 40-hour workweek, with overtime when business needs require it.

Compensation
The pay rate is $17.00 per hour. Compensation is determined using objective factors such as skills, performance, market benchmarking, responsibilities, and working conditions.
