Role Overview
The Valuation & Advisory Services hotels team in Brisbane is seeking a Valuer to join its CBD office. In this role, you will deliver in-depth valuation advice across hotels and accommodation assets, with room to broaden into other specialist asset types such as student accommodation, build-to-rent and pubs.
You will work alongside a nationwide network of valuation professionals, gaining support to shape your career direction and develop your area of expertise. The company’s established tools and systems are designed to help you deliver high-quality client service, while dedicated marketing and communications support will help build your profile from day one.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out specialised property inspections and valuation assignments within defined standards.
- Prepare valuation reports that are accurate, well-presented and delivered on time.
- Focus on valuation work within your assigned property sector and market.
- Stay up to date with commercial property market conditions and trends.
- Review, interpret and compare transaction evidence to support valuation conclusions.
- Collaborate with other product teams to complete work for shared clients.
- Identify opportunities that can be referred to other locations or service lines.
- Take part in team meetings, office meetings, seminars and workshops.
- Represent the business at client and industry events to strengthen relationships and industry awareness.
- Achieve monthly individual revenue targets.
- Prepare required documentation so invoicing can be completed accurately and without delay.
Requirements
- A degree related to property.
- Certified Practising Valuer accreditation.
- At least 8 years of experience in the property valuation sector.
- Membership of the Australian Property Institute, or the ability to obtain it within 6 months.
- A current Australian driver’s licence.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills at intermediate to advanced level.
- Excellent numerical, analytical and problem-solving ability.
- Commercial understanding of strategy development and execution.
- Ability to analyse information and support sound business decisions.
- Awareness of property-related risk and commitment to the internal Colliers Assure quality process.
- Strong relationship-building skills with both internal stakeholders and external contacts.
