Role Overview
As a Product Designer in the Loyalty UX Team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping Target’s evolving digital loyalty experience. Your goal will be to craft member-centric, intuitive designs that make loyalty programs visible, valuable, and engaging across the entire shopping journey. This includes ensuring consistent and seamless interactions across online platforms and in-store touchpoints. Your work will align guest needs with business objectives to increase user engagement, retention, and long-term loyalty.
Responsibilities
- Engage in the complete design lifecycle, from discovery and strategic planning through ideation, design, user testing, asset delivery, and collaboration with engineering.
- Work closely under the guidance of senior designers.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that drive meaningful business results.
- Use insights, data, and user research to inform design decisions focused on user-centered outcomes within the product domain.
- Create deliverables such as journey maps, wireframes, user flows, UI designs, and prototypes suitable for each design phase.
- Employ both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies to inform design.
- Maintain a high standard of design quality encompassing accessibility, user research, information architecture, interaction design, and visual design.
- Promote a human-centered design culture across UX, product, and engineering teams.
- Manage and simplify complexity and ambiguity to deliver valuable results for guests and business.
Candidate Profile
- Possesses at least one year of relevant experience or equivalent in product design.
- Has foundational expertise in UX and product design including planning and ownership of the design process.
- Demonstrates problem-solving abilities, systems thinking, and collaborative skills.
- Shows a curiosity to understand human behaviors and motivations behind them.
- Utilizes data and insights effectively to guide design decisions and communicate methodologies.
- Proficient with product design and prototyping tools such as Figma.
- Focuses on achieving design outcomes that are welcoming, inspiring, and easy to comprehend.
- Understands the business impact of design and its role in improving outcomes.
- Embraces a growth mindset for continual improvement.
Work Arrangement
This position follows a Hybrid/Flex schedule combining on-site work at Target’s Minneapolis headquarters with virtual work based on daily requirements. Work must be conducted within the United States and cannot be performed from outside the country unless approved by Target.
Compensation & Benefits
The salary range is from $75,400 to $135,700 annually and is influenced by factors such as labor market conditions, education, work experience, and certifications.
