Role Overview
In this UX Designer / Product Designer position, you will shape products and modules with a strong focus on the end user. Your work will involve research, prototyping, and close collaboration with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to improve journeys, flows, and interactions.
You will also help build user-friendly interfaces, define better design practices, and contribute to the Aceve Design System. In addition, you will share UX guidance, run workshops, and support the growth of colleagues through mentorship.
Key Responsibilities
- Improve the user experience of Aceve’s products so they are intuitive, practical, and aligned with company goals.
- Plan and carry out user research to uncover needs, evaluate findings, and communicate insights to stakeholders.
- Create wireframes, interactive prototypes, and polished visual designs to test ideas and gather feedback.
- Support and evolve the Aceve Design System to maintain consistency, scalability, and strong UI/UX standards.
- Work alongside product, engineering, and business teams to balance user needs, technical possibilities, and business priorities.
- Promote UX and product-thinking practices through presentations, workshops, and mentoring.
- Prepare UX documentation, design standards, and other materials that help internal teams work effectively.
- Stay current with new UX methods, tools, and product design trends, and use that knowledge to improve process and output.
Required Skills and Competencies
- Deep knowledge of UX principles, product design approaches, and interaction design.
- Practical experience with user research, usability testing, and understanding user behavior.
- Hands-on ability to create wireframes and prototypes using design software such as Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch.
- Skill in turning user insights and business needs into workable design solutions.
- Exposure to design systems, information architecture, and accessibility-focused design.
- Clear communication and presentation ability, including the confidence to explain design choices.
- Basic familiarity with HTML, CSS, and front-end development concepts is an advantage.
- Experience working in Agile or other cross-functional product teams.
- Strong German communication skills at C1 level or above, along with fluent spoken and written English.
Work Model and Location
This is a hybrid role based in Berlin, with office attendance required three days per week. The office is located at Heinrich-Heine-Platz 10, 10179 Berlin.
