Job description
Position Overview
My Algerian Dream is offering a part-time, entry-level UX Designer position located in Sydney, NSW. This hybrid role allows for some work-from-home flexibility. The designer will collaborate with product managers, developers, and other designers to enhance user-centered experiences across web and mobile platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in workshops aimed at discovery and ideation.
- Support user journey mapping exercises.
- Create low- and high-fidelity wireframes for digital products.
- Develop interactive prototypes for stakeholder evaluation and usability assessments.
- Organize and synthesize user feedback to inform design refinements.
- Maintain design documentation and reusable components, ensuring alignment with brand standards.
Qualifications and Skills
- Foundational knowledge of user-centered design methodologies, including Design Thinking and UX principles.
- Experience or capability to assist in user research methods such as interviews, surveys, and usability testing.
- Proficiency in visual design concepts, including layout, typography, and color theory, with attention to brand consistency.
- Practiced in producing wireframes and interactive prototypes using tools like Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD.
- Basic understanding of accessibility and inclusive design standards.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively within a hybrid team environment.
- Excellent organizational skills and meticulousness in documenting designs and managing feedback.
- Relevant educational background or practical experience in UX design, interaction design, graphic design, human-computer interaction, or related disciplines.
- A motivated learner who responds well to feedback and is enthusiastic about growing within an entry-level UX role.
