Job Summary
You will be responsible for routine cleaning and light maintenance work, while keeping sanitation and safety standards high across the club. You will also help ensure carts are available for members by bringing them in from the parking lot and keeping the entrance stocked.
Key Duties
- Carry out assigned tasks and follow club policies, procedures, and compliance expectations.

- Maintain cleanliness throughout the club, including sales areas, offices, restrooms, outdoor grounds, and parking areas.
- Collect carts and flatbeds from the parking lot and return them to the entrance as needed.
- Remove trash and debris from the parking lot, cart corrals, and exterior areas.
- Keep carts stocked, clean, and in working condition; remove unusable carts from service.
- Return unused and new merchandise to the sales floor.
- Perform cleaning tasks such as sweeping, wet and dry mopping, vacuuming, carpet extraction, glass cleaning, emptying trash, and moving pallets.
- Maintain outdoor areas such as sidewalks, cart corrals, and exterior trash containers.
- Prioritize cleaning and maintenance tasks efficiently across the club.
- Use equipment such as a floor scrubber, trash compactor, and cardboard baler safely and correctly.
- Restock cleaning and maintenance supplies and keep storage areas tidy and organized.
- Carry out small repairs when appropriate and alert management to larger repair needs.
- Follow all club rules and procedures.
- Assist in other departments when required.
- Maintain regular and dependable full attendance, which is an essential part of the role.
Qualifications
- Completion of the required training and certification steps is mandatory.
- Previous janitorial or maintenance experience is preferred but not essential.
- Retail or wholesale experience is an added advantage, though not required.
- For cart duties in the parking lot, candidates may be under 18 years old; however, operating equipment and entering age-restricted areas requires being at least 18.
Working Conditions
This job involves frequent movement on hard surfaces and may require bending, climbing, crawling, reaching, stooping, pulling, and ladder or step-stool use.
It regularly includes lifting items up to 30 pounds and, with assistance, heavier or awkward objects above 30 pounds. The role also involves using a pallet jack for moving pallets.
There is frequent exposure to approved cleaning products and occasional contact with paint and other authorized chemicals. Work may take place in both indoor and outdoor environments, including exposure to changing weather and sometimes extreme cold in freezers and coolers.
