User Experience Designer

About the Role

We are seeking a Digital Designer specializing in UX/UI to join our collaborative in-house agency team at Tonic3. This role offers a unique chance to blend creativity with strategic thinking to craft user experiences seen nationwide, impacting how thousands engage with a Fortune 500 brand. Positioned within a dynamic, cross-functional group, you will create accessible and engaging digital designs across multiple platforms, balancing innovative aesthetics with usability and brand consistency.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop intuitive and user-friendly digital assets such as websites, landing pages, and interactive components.
• Collaborate closely with other creatives to enhance the overall user journey through design.
• Implement and uphold accessibility and usability best practices in all projects.
• Customize visual designs to resonate with diverse audiences and adapt to various platforms.
• Efficiently juggle multiple projects, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards.
• Stay informed on emerging design trends, tools, and techniques to continuously elevate user experiences.

Qualifications and Skills

• Over 5 years of professional experience in UX/UI and digital design.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Human-Computer Interaction, or similar field.
• Proficiency with design tools including Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office.
• Strong grasp of UX principles, design systems, and responsive design strategies.
• Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS is advantageous.
• Experience crafting wireframes, interactive prototypes, and polished visual designs.
• Deep understanding of accessibility standards such as WCAG and inclusive design methods.
• Ability to simplify complex ideas into clear, effective design solutions.
• Confident collaboration skills, capable of articulating design choices to stakeholders.
• Open to iterative improvements based on user testing, feedback, and data analysis.
• Excellent attention to detail with strong skills in layout, typography, and visual aesthetics.
• Highly organized, proactive, and capable of managing multiple priorities in fast-paced settings.
• Keen interest in staying updated with the latest UX/UI trends and best practices.
• Previous experience working in an agency environment is required.
• Applicants must provide an online portfolio or website displaying UX/UI and digital marketing design work.

Work Arrangement and Location

The position requires working onsite three days per week at either Schaumburg, IL or Irving, TX offices, with two days remote work.

Compensation

The salary range for this role is $90,000 to $110,000 annually.
