Marina del Rey Toyota is hiring an experienced used car buyer to help strengthen and grow its pre-owned inventory. The position focuses on sourcing, assessing, and purchasing used vehicles that fit the dealership’s market needs.

Key responsibilities

• Keep the dealership’s used inventory at a minimum of 70 vehicles at all times.
• Source vehicles from trusted vendors and obtain approval from the General Manager before purchasing.
• Partner with the General Manager to decide which vehicles are the best match for the local market.
• Make sure vehicle titles are received quickly after purchase.
• Maintain a clean, attractive, and well-displayed used vehicle lot.
• Coordinate with the Vehicle Reconditioning Manager so every vehicle is ready for sale within 7 days of acquisition.
• Assess trade-ins when needed to support the sales team.
• Contribute as a cooperative and dependable team member.

Qualifications

• Strong willingness to help and support the team.
• Working knowledge of dealership processes and procedures.
• Ability to accurately evaluate and structure vehicle purchases.
• Professional appearance with excellent spoken and written communication skills.
• Strong negotiation and presentation abilities.
• Valid driver’s license.
