Role overview
Marina del Rey Toyota is hiring an experienced used car buyer to help strengthen and grow its pre-owned inventory. The position focuses on sourcing, assessing, and purchasing used vehicles that fit the dealership’s market needs.

Key responsibilities
- Keep the dealership’s used inventory at a minimum of 70 vehicles at all times.
- Source vehicles from trusted vendors and obtain approval from the General Manager before purchasing.
- Partner with the General Manager to decide which vehicles are the best match for the local market.
- Make sure vehicle titles are received quickly after purchase.
- Maintain a clean, attractive, and well-displayed used vehicle lot.
- Coordinate with the Vehicle Reconditioning Manager so every vehicle is ready for sale within 7 days of acquisition.
- Assess trade-ins when needed to support the sales team.
- Contribute as a cooperative and dependable team member.
Qualifications
- Strong willingness to help and support the team.
- Working knowledge of dealership processes and procedures.
- Ability to accurately evaluate and structure vehicle purchases.
- Professional appearance with excellent spoken and written communication skills.
- Strong negotiation and presentation abilities.
- Valid driver’s license.
