We are currently seeking Unskilled Meat Workers for immediate commencement in a stable work setting in Warrnambool, Victoria. No prior experience in meat processing is necessary.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

• Packaging meat products into boxes or plastic bags.
• Transferring carcasses and cartons to refrigerated, frozen, or shipping container storage, involving manual lifting.
• Maintaining cleanliness of slaughter floors and boning rooms using shovels and brooms.
• Assisting in the removal of hides and hocks from carcasses, utilizing both manual and mechanical methods.
• Securing shackle chains around cattle hind legs and positioning forelegs onto cleats on the slaughter chain.
• Removing animal tails using a knife.
• Assembling pre-cut cardboard into cartons and inserting plastic liners.

Skills & Experience

• Demonstrated reliability, physical fitness, and a collaborative team spirit.
• Understanding of hygiene standards, meticulous attention to detail, and adherence to established procedures.
• Legal authorization to work full-time in Australia (38 hours per week).
• Successful completion of a drug and alcohol screening, with willingness to undergo a pre-employment medical examination if required.
• Possession of a Q Fever vaccination or a commitment to undergoing the vaccination process.
