Job description
Role summary
This is a senior UI/UX design leadership role focused on AI-first product design for e-commerce. The position is remote worldwide, with the option to work from the Dubai office if preferred. Relocation help and visa sponsorship support are available for those who choose to move.
The role reports directly to the CEO and carries end-to-end ownership of the brand’s web design experience. You will be expected to improve how the design team works by introducing AI-driven workflows, accelerating creative output, and using artificial intelligence to shape both customer experience and internal design operations.
Compensation
The budgeted salary is up to USD 120,000 per year, with additional monthly performance bonuses of up to 10%. The total annual package can reach up to USD 136,800, plus comprehensive benefits depending on your location.
What the role is expected to deliver
This position is designed for someone who thrives in a fast-moving environment and wants to gain deep AI-first design leadership experience quickly. In the first year, you are expected to ship polished web experiences, run conversion-focused experiments, and help reshape the design function through AI-enabled creative processes.
You will work on reducing handoff delays between design and development, building prompt libraries and quality frameworks, and helping the team adopt new ways of working. The role also involves exploring new e-commerce experiences such as conversational shopping, semantic search, AI assistants, and AI-driven recommendation systems.
Responsibilities
- Own the company’s e-commerce web design direction and be accountable for design outcomes.
- Build and improve AI-powered design workflows, including prompt libraries, creative operations, and quality controls.
- Use Figma AI, Firefly, and related tools to speed up layout exploration and variant generation.
- Reduce design-to-development handoff time and remove workflow bottlenecks.
- Lead, mentor, and manage the design team while guiding them through AI adoption.
- Design and optimize PDP, PLP, and checkout experiences with measurable business impact.
- Collaborate with Growth on experimentation, including A/B testing and multi-armed bandit approaches.
- Contribute to design systems, responsive experiences, motion, and conversion optimization.
- Present roadmap updates and business-facing design insights directly to executive leadership.
- Support the creation of AI-shaped UX patterns for shopping, search, and assistance flows.
Requirements
- 7 to 10 years of experience in web design for e-commerce.
- At least 4 years of experience leading, mentoring, and managing a design team.
- A portfolio showing shipped improvements to PDP, PLP, and checkout flows with clear business results.
- Strong command of Figma, including components, variables, and Dev Mode.
- Solid visual and motion design skills, along with responsive design judgment.
- Hands-on experience introducing GenAI tools into a professional design pipeline.
- Understanding of prompt engineering, quality review, and brand governance for AI-assisted work.
- Familiarity with AI-led UX patterns such as conversational search, assistant interfaces, and recommendation modules.
- Comfort working with experimentation teams and understanding the trade-off between speed and causal certainty.
- Working knowledge of WCAG 2.2 and SEO basics for structured e-commerce content and schema.
- Experience designing chat or guided-selling journeys is a plus.
Work style and company values
The team describes itself as fast-paced, ambitious, and highly execution-driven. The culture emphasizes ownership, urgency, excellence, AI-first thinking, and full commitment to mission-critical work. Success is measured by outcomes and impact rather than activity or location.
Benefits and perks
- Remote-first setup with the option to work from anywhere, provided there is enough overlap with Middle East and Europe time zones.
- Option to relocate to Dubai with visa sponsorship support.
- Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage, depending on the country of hire.
- Generous paid time off and public holidays.
- Access to an AI-native tool stack and an AI-first working environment.
- Learning and development opportunities.
- International collaboration across a team representing more than 14 nationalities.
- Eligibility for the Leaders Club recognition program, which includes premium wellness memberships, senior leadership networking, and annual leadership retreats.
- Eligibility for monthly recognition as a company champion, with gift vouchers and company-wide celebration.
Eligibility and fit
This opportunity is best suited to senior design leaders who want a high-intensity, high-learning environment and are excited by rapid adoption of AI in design. Candidates should be comfortable with direct executive visibility, business metrics, and an ownership mindset.
Applicants should be able to work remotely across global time zones with meaningful overlap with the Middle East and Europe.
Additional notes
This role is positioned as a career accelerator for someone aiming to grow quickly in AI-first design leadership. It is intended for people who enjoy fast execution, frequent learning, and responsibility for business outcomes.
If selected, you will be joining a globally distributed team and contributing to strategic design decisions for a major e-commerce brand.
