Job description

Role overview

Puffy is a fast-scaling direct-to-consumer e-commerce company with a valuation above $1B and a spot among the top five mattress brands in the United States. The company is hiring a Senior CRO Manager to take complete ownership of onsite conversion rate optimization. This person will analyze where revenue is being lost, build hypotheses from the data, and lead optimization work that improves performance across a high-traffic store supported by more than $2M in monthly digital ad spend.

The position reports to the Director of Marketing and partners with an analytics team that handles the data systems and pipelines. Your focus will be to use those insights together with your own behavioral research, such as heatmaps, session recordings, and funnel reviews, to turn findings into A/B tests, UX enhancements, and conversion initiatives that drive measurable revenue growth.

Career opportunity

This role is designed for someone who wants to accelerate deep CRO expertise in a short period of time. You would own a testing roadmap for a site that receives more than 100,000 monthly unique visitors and is supported by a large paid traffic budget. The position involves diagnosing conversion issues throughout the funnel — from ad click through checkout — and using analytics tools and experimentation methods to ship changes that directly improve revenue.

It also offers broad exposure across analytics, UX, copywriting, and experimentation strategy, building a rare set of skills that compounds over time. The environment is fast-moving and best suited to people who enjoy rapid learning and high accountability.

What the role involves

  • Take end-to-end ownership of onsite conversion performance and build the optimization roadmap rather than simply working from an existing backlog.
  • Review GA4, heatmaps, session recordings, and funnel data to identify friction points across the customer journey.
  • Develop test hypotheses, prioritize experiments, and launch A/B tests that have a direct revenue impact.
  • Work closely with design and analytics partners to translate insights into practical website improvements.
  • Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership, including the CEO.
  • Manage several testing streams at the same time while maintaining strong quality and ownership.

What you need

  • At least 5 years of practical CRO and analytics experience in e-commerce or DTC environments, with a record of producing statistically valid winners that improved revenue.
  • Advanced knowledge of GA4, including custom explorations, audience segmentation, funnel analysis, and event-level interpretation.
  • Strong experience with heatmapping and session replay tools such as Hotjar, FullStory, Microsoft Clarity, or similar platforms.
  • Hands-on exposure to experimentation tools such as Optimizely, VWO, AB Tasty, Convert, or Google Optimize, including setup, QA, and results analysis.
  • Solid understanding of experimentation statistics, including significance, confidence intervals, sample sizing, and common issues like peeking, multiple comparisons, and Simpson's paradox.
  • Deep familiarity with conversion psychology, including urgency, scarcity, trust cues, social proof, pricing strategy, and checkout optimization.
  • Working knowledge of UX and UI principles, with the ability to collaborate effectively with designers.
  • Ability to write and test high-converting copy, including value propositions, headlines, and calls to action.
  • Experience using AI or LLM tools to speed up ideation, wireframing, and content creation for CRO work.
  • Ability to use SQL or BI tools such as Looker, Tableau, or Power BI for self-serve analysis.
  • Experience operating at scale, ideally on sites with 100K+ monthly visitors and in environments managing $500K+ in monthly digital ad spend.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical findings clearly to senior stakeholders.

Preferred experience

  • Background in sleep, wellness, comfort products, or other high-consideration DTC brands serving North American consumers.
  • Exposure to Shopify or Shopify Plus.
  • Working knowledge of Google Tag Manager and basic front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Experience with predictive modeling, customer lifetime value analysis, or advanced segmentation for prioritization.
  • Knowledge of performance marketing or paid media analytics to support full-funnel optimization.

Compensation and benefits

The base compensation is up to USD 120,000 per year, with a performance bonus of up to 25%. The total annual package can reach up to USD 154,800, along with comprehensive benefits.

  • Monthly performance bonus of up to 25%.
  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage.
  • Paid time off plus public holidays.
  • Access to an AI-first tool stack and a remote-first work setup.
  • Option to work from the Dubai office, with full relocation support and visa sponsorship.
  • Learning and development opportunities.
  • Collaboration with an international team representing more than 14 nationalities.
  • Recognition programs, including The Leaders Club and the monthly We Are Champion award.

Work style and company culture

Puffy describes its culture as fast-paced, ambitious, and highly accountable. The company values ownership, urgency, excellence, an AI-first mindset, and strong team alignment when major goals need to be achieved.

Location and flexibility

This is a fully remote role open globally. Candidates may also choose to work from the Dubai office. For those who relocate, the company offers support with relocation and visa sponsorship, and Dubai provides 0% personal income tax.

Eligibility

This opportunity is suited to experienced CRO and analytics professionals who enjoy high ownership, rapid experimentation, and operating in a performance-driven environment. It is best matched with candidates who are comfortable working independently, collaborating across functions, and presenting to senior leadership.

Additional notes

The company emphasizes that this role is not for people who prefer slow pacing or limited accountability. It is intended for high performers who want to learn quickly, take responsibility for outcomes, and help shape the optimization strategy of a large-scale e-commerce brand.
